Vincerò 2023
Tribute to FRANCO ZEFFIRELLI

"...I would like my long experience not to be lost in favor of the new generations"

The third edition of the opera competition "Vincerò Singing" it will be an opportunity to celebrate the history and artistic genius of the great director Franco Zeffirelli who calls himself the sultan of a harem with three women: opera, theater and cinema. The humanity of his characters has touched the public who followed him for decades and still continues to move us today. Opera as the essence of the best Zeffirelli, whose sincere faith in the theater is also evident from his respect for tradition: 'son' of Visconti, he does not deny that school, but regenerates it from time to time in his own creations. This homage will also be a sort of further affirmation of his incomparable art in Italy, not recognized at the time by the then dominant cultural establishment and which was a source of suffering due to the great success especially abroad.

"...I have always thought that opera is a planet where the muses work together, clap their hands and celebrate all the arts"

Franco Zeffirelli
